Can I Cancel or Add to my Order?
Once you have received your order confirmation email, under most circumstances we are unable to cancel or add to your order. We can, however, cancel a back-order. To cancel a back-order or check if changes can be made to a recently placed order, e-mail Customer Service. We will try to accommodate changes to an order or assist in placing a second order. Please note: if you cancel an item that qualified you for a discount, promotion or GS Plus loyalty points, you may no longer receive that discount, promotion or points.
How long will it take to receive a back-ordered or out-of-stock item.
We do our best to process items as soon as they become available. Some items can be shipped from another council shop location when available. It may only take a matter of days or several weeks. To check the approximate availability of an item, email email@example.com. Note: Back-ordered items will only ship Standard delivery.
When will my order arrive?
With standard delivery to the contiguous United States, most in-stock items will be delivered to you within approximately 10 to 14 business days from our receipt of your order. Carriers used to deliver orders are at the discretion of the GCNWI council shops. Note: Back-ordered items will only ship Standard delivery.

How long do fun patches take to order?
Fun Patches are ordered on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. They usually take 5 to 7 business days for delivery. You will be contacted as soon as they arrive. If you have selected a Fun Patch that is not stocked in our council shops and want your order shipped, you will be charged our standard shipping rates. If you wish to have your order delivered to any one of our council shops, you will not be charged for shipping. If the Fun Patch is normally stocked in our council shops and we are out of stock, you are not required to pay for shipping.
Can I get merchandise delivered to my Service Unit Meeting?
The answer is yes! When you place your order online, indicate in the shipping section that you want your order delivered to your Council Gathering Place Shop. In the notes section you can then enter the Service Unit number, date, time and location of your meeting. We do the rest. We will process your order and it will be delivered to your meeting.
Can I have the Mobile Shop at an event or program?
The answer is yes! Fill out the Mobile Shop Form and we will take care of the details. Expect a call or email 24 hours after you have submitted the form to confirm your information.
What Shipping Carriers does Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana use?
U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx are our standard carriers. GCNWI council shop typically uses USPS. If you request different shipping, please provide information in the notes section on your order.
Do I have to pay additional shipping charges for a back-ordered or out-of-stock item?
We process and ship back-ordered and out-of-stock items as soon as they return to stock. You'll be charged for shipping one time, upfront for the entire order which includes the back ordered item(s). Note: Back-ordered items will only ship Standard delivery.
Can I use Cookie Dough
Cookie Dough or cookie credits are redeemable only at GCNWI council shop locations. Cookie Dough or cookie credits can not be used to purchase products from the online store, by mail or for placing a phone order.
Returned Shipment/Refused Delivery
USPS typically will make three attempts to deliver your merchandise. When the package is undeliverable after three attempts and/or not picked up from the local post office, the order will be returned to our council shop and any fees associated with the return delivery are charged to GCNWI by the carrier.
If merchandise is returned to our council shop because the package is undeliverable after three attempts and/or not picked up from the local post office a credit will be issued for the cost of merchandise, but you will not be credited for any shipping and handling costs you may have been charged. You will be responsible for shipping costs in both directions. The refund process will not begin until after the merchandise has been received by our council shop.

What is the Girl Scout Official Dress Code?
The GSUSA National Board updated the Girl Scout uniform policy as of October 2008 to reflect the changing needs of our members and transformation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.Girl Scouts at each level have one required element (Tunic, Sash or Vest) for the display of official pins and awards which will be required when girls participate in ceremonies or officially represent the Girl Scout Movement.For all girls, the unifying look includes wearing a choice of a tunic, vest, sash for displaying official pins and awards, combined with their own solid white shirts, khaki pants or skirts and a scarf. For adult members the unifying look of the uniform is a Girl Scout official scarf or tie for men, worn with the official membership pins, combined with their own navy blue business attire. Girl Scouts at the Daisy and Brownie levels will continue to have a full uniform ensemble available.
What are Special Earned Awards and Recognitions?
Most earned awards such as badges and pins by grade level are available for purchase on our GCNWI Official Online Shop.Special Recognition Awards and the Girl Scout highest awards such as Gold and Silver award items are not available for purchase online. Council verification is needed for these items.Please purchase Special Recognition and Highest Award items directly from our GCNWI council shop.
